Welcome to EndoHub – The Clinical Endocrinology Association.
EndoHub is a dynamic professional community founded in 2024 by a dedicated group of clinical endocrinologists. Our mission is to advance the science and practice of endocrinology by promoting excellence in patient care, education, and collaborative research. At EndoHub, we aim to create a collaborative environment for healthcare professionals, researchers, and educators to come together and improve the lives of patients with endocrine disorders.
Aims and Goals of EndoHub:
Standardization of diagnosis and treatment of endocrine diseases
Optimization of clinical endocrinology best practices for individual patients and our community's health
Creation of a comprehensive knowledge space on pathologies, diagnostic methods, and treatments
Provision of medical information to patients with endocrine disorders to improve their care
Coordination with healthcare professionals and scientific communities on various endocrine diseases
Organization of educational events and workshops to disseminate information about endocrine diseases and training programs for healthcare professionals
Collaboration with government agencies and regulatory structures to provide updated information on endocrine disease management and to facilitate the sharing of best practices
The realization of these objectives will enable our association to take a leading role in addressing issues related to endocrine disorders, promoting awareness, and improving patient care.
Our team

Ani Makhatadze, M.D.
Dr. Ani Makhatadze is a graduate of Tbilisi State Medical University. She began her medical career with an internship at Mediclub Georgia from 2010 to 2012, followed by a position as a junior doctor in the Department of General Surgery from 2013 to 2016.
Since then, Dr. Makhatadze has been actively involved in a range of domestic and international projects focused on hospital management and public health. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she played a key role in the development of a telemedicine initiative in Georgia. This project introduced virtual clinics that provided remote consultations for COVID-19 patients, significantly improving access to care while optimizing the use of medical professionals' time. The initiative became a model for "Empowerment through Digital Health," creating virtual spaces for real-time patient support.
In 2024, Dr. Makhatadze became the Director and Co-founder of EndoHub, the Clinical Endocrinology Association, furthering her commitment to advancing endocrine care and professional collaboration.

Nino Zavrashvili, M.D.
Dr. Nino Zavrashvili is a board-certified endocrinologist with over a decade of clinical, academic, and research experience. She currently serves as the Head of the Endocrinology Department at Tbilisi Institute of Medicine (TIM) and is an invited lecturer at David Tvildiani Medical University (DTMU).
Dr. Zavrashvili has developed and leads the residency training program in endocrinology at TIM.
A three-time Mayo Clinic Visiting Clinician, she brings extensive international training and expertise in managing complex endocrine disorders.
Dr. Zavrashvili holds an MD from David Tvildiani Medical University and has completed her endocrinology residency at Tbilisi State Medical University. She holds United States Medical Licensing Examination (step 1, 2 ,3) certifications, is certified by the ECFMG, and earned the European Board of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism Certification in 2019.
Dr. Zavrashvili is an active member of several international endocrine societies. She is a co-founder of the Clinical Endocrinology Association (EndoHub) and the Georgian Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, which hosted Clinical Update in Endocrinology led by Mayo Clinic experts. She is also a frequent presenter at major International endocrine conferences and a published author in respected journals, including The Journal of the Endocrine Society, Lancet Diabetes & Endocrinology, Frontiers in Pediatrics and others.
Her areas of interest include adrenal disorders, endocrine hypertension, pituitary disorders and metabolic disorders.
She has served as a principal investigator and sub-investigator in multiple clinical trials and received several awards, including the Mayo Clinic Scholars Award (2016), Lecturer of the Year (2017, 2018), Academic Excellence Award from Salzburg Columbia Seminar (2013), and multiple travel grants from the European Society of Endocrinology.

Natia Margvelashvili, M.D.
Natia Margvelashvili is a board-certified endocrinologist, with clinical experience in managing a wide range of endocrine disorders. Her primary areas of interest include thyroid and adrenal gland diseases. She earned her Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from David Tvildiani Medical University and completed her residency in Clinical Endocrinology.
She served as a guest lecturer at David Tvildiani Medical University, where she taught biochemistry and clinical endocrinology skills. Currently, she practices at the Tbilisi Institute of Medicine, where, alongside her clinical work, she is actively involved in medical education, academic activities, and clinical research. Her approach is based on evidence-based medicine and personalized care. Natia Margvelashvili regularly participates in scientific research and international conferences. Her case reports have been published in the European journal Endocrine Abstracts.
In 2023, she received the European Board Certification in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism. She is also certified in thyroid ultrasound and in the modern management of endocrine diseases.
Natia is fluent in Georgian (native), English, and Russian. She is a member of several leading professional organizations, including the European Society of Endocrinology (ESE), the European Thyroid Association (ETA), and the Endocrine Society (ES).

Natia Shonia, M.D.
Dr. Shonia earned her medical degree from David Tvildiani Medical University and completed her residency in Endocrinology at Tbilisi Institute of Medicine, where she currently serves as a general endocrinologist. Her clinical focus includes osteoporosis and parathyroid gland dysfunction, areas in which she has developed a special interest.
Dr. Shonia serves as a guest lecturer at Davit Tvildiani Medical University and University of Georgia.
Deeply committed to her profession, Dr. Shonia is actively engaged in clinical practice, continuing medical education, and clinical research. She consistently participates in international conferences and meetings, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in endocrinology. Her case reports have been published in the European journal Endocrine Abstracts.
Dr. Shonia is certified in Bone Densitometry and DXA Body Composition Analysis by International Society for Clinical Densitometry (ISCD) and Medical Technology Management Institute (MTMI). She is also a member of several leading professional organizations, including European Society of Endocrinology (ESE), European Thyroid Association (ETA) and Endocrine Society (ES).

Qetevan Gvazava, M.D.
Qetevan Gvazava is a dedicated Endocrinology Resident Physician, currently undergoing training in Maryland, US. She holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from David Tvildiani Medical University in Tbilisi, Georgia, where she graduated with distinction in 2019 and received the Rector’s Award for Excellence. With an educational background rooted in rigorous academic training and a strong commitment to patient care, Dr. Gvazava has cultivated both clinical and teaching experience across Georgia and the United States.
Her post-graduate journey includes multiple medical licensing milestones, including successful completion of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Steps 1, 2, and 3. She began her clinical career as a Junior Physician and later as a Resident Physician in the Endocrinology Department at the Tbilisi Institute of Medicine (TIM), where she worked from January 2020 through April 2024. Since June 2024, she has been serving as a Resident Physician at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis.
Dr. Gvazava has served as an invited lecturer at David Tvildiani Medical University, teaching Microbiology, Endocrinology, and Clinical Skills. Her leadership extends into the public health sphere, where she has worked extensively in vaccine education and pandemic response. She is the co-founder of the Association of Immunization and Vaccinology (AIVA), and has served as a Project Manager and Coordinator for initiatives such as “Young Doctors Against the Pandemic” and “Youth Standing for Vaccination,” in partnership with UNICEF and USAID.
Dr. Gvazava is also an active contributor to academic research. She has presented numerous case reports at the European Congress of Endocrinology, covering topics such as adrenal insufficiency, panhypopituitarism, endocrine-related osteoporosis, and autoimmune syndromes. Her work is published in Endocrine Abstracts and reflects her ongoing interest in rare and complex endocrine disorders.
She is currently a member of the Endocrine Society (ES), the European Society of Endocrinology (ESE). Fluent in English and Georgian, and conversational in Russian, Dr. Gvazava is continually working to advance her education to benefit patient-centered care in endocrinology while making meaningful contributions to the medical and public health communities.

Ketevan Chanturishvili, M.D.
Dr. Ketevan Chanturishvili is an endocrinologist with extensive academic and clinical experience across Europe. She completed her medical degree at David Tvildiani Medical University (DTMU) and pursued her clinical education in Germany through clerkships and observerships at leading institutions such as Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Deutsche Herzzentrum Berlin, and MVZ Medicover Berlin-Mitte.
Dr. Chanturishvili currently practices at the Tbilisi Institute of Medicine (TIM), where she serves as an endocrinologist. She is also actively involved in medical education as an invited lecturer at David Tvildiani Medical University.
In addition to her clinical and academic roles, Dr. Chanturishvili is actively engaged in clinical research.
She is the author and co-author of multiple published case reports, several of which have been presented at major international congresses, including the European Society of Endocrinology (ECE) and the Endocrine Society Annual Meeting (ENDO) in Boston. Her contributions have highlighted rare and complex endocrine conditions, such as adrenal insufficiency, pituitary disorders, and mild autonomous cortisol secretion (MACS). In 2022, she was awarded Best Case Presentation at the Salzburg Open Medical Institute.
She is a diplomate of the American Board of Lipidology, has completed certified programs in clinical nutrition at Wageningen University & Research and the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. Dr. Chanturishvili is trained in advanced diabetic technologies, including insulin pump therapy and continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), having completed formal education in both. She is also certified in Good Clinical Practice and has passed the USMLE Step 1 exam, reflecting her alignment with international clinical standards.
Dr. Chanturishvili has also participated in multiple European Society of Endocrinology (ESE) update courses and completed several online professional education programs offered by the Endocrine Society (USA). In recognition of her commitment to continuous learning and academic advancement, she has been awarded several international research and training grants, including the prestigious EYES Summer School Grant from the European Society of Endocrinology.
She has also served as Georgia’s official ambassador for AMBOSS, a global medical learning platform supporting evidence-based education.
